A cheap skate friend of mine has a FOLDING bike which fits in a regular suitcase. He buys a real el cheapo suitcase and puts bicycle in it.. Upon arrival in an airport he takes out his bicycle and other stuff and locks (or not) the suitcase. Then he goes to lost & found. Tells the responsible person that he's found a suitcase and whether they can keep it until the actual owner shows up.

After a month or 3 weeks he shows up again and moans to the official about how he's lost a suitcase on the airport when he wasn't looking. Asks whether he can have a look... and guess what, that suitcase looks just like the one he lost.. I guess he arrives a day in advance so that in case the suitcase is gone, he buys another 'el cheapo' suitcase.

ROTFLMAO when I heard this one.. .but then he's also the one who - sleeps in the building of a rugby team (free shower) when others sleep in a hotel - travels almost every (two) month(s) with a cheap air ticket.. he's just returned from skiing in Switzerland and will travel to Barcelona in March after having skied again in Southern France before. He visited Barcelona in November already.. quite the busy retired character... sleeping in rugby clubs pays for the cheap tickets I suppose ;-D.
